Dear Patients and Friends:
On behalf of our entire team, I want you to know how much we appreciate and feel honored by your support of our office over the past 40 plus years. After much thought and prayer, I have decided it is time for me to move into the next phase of my life and spend time traveling with my lovely wife, Rena. This decision was made much easier upon finding a compassionate and highly skilled clinician, Dr. Titus Son. I have spent a great deal of time getting to know both him and his practice philosophy and feel confident he is the best choice for our practice. He will be joining the practice as of March 31, 2023. He has met my staff, and they too are excited to have him join our team. I feel blessed and honored that I found someone whom I believe will be able to care for our patients for years to come. I look forward to personally introducing Dr. Son to each of you in the coming months.
Dr. Son grew up in New York City and graduated from Queens College – City University of New York with a dual degree in Neuroscience and Psychology with highest honors. Dr. Son was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa upon graduation for his academic achievements. After graduating from college, he attended prestigious New York University’s dental program where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Son did not end his education there, but continued his post-graduate clinical training at New Jersey VA Medical Center, where he provided comprehensive dental care for Veterans. During this residency program, Dr. Son enhanced and fine-tuned his clinical skills in oral surgeries, endodontics and prosthodontics. Also in 2019, Dr. Son completed an extensive implant rehabilitation course provided by Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he was taught by famous implantologist, Dr. Gallucci. Dr. Son is professionally interested in investigating various types of dental materials and he was awarded American Association of Dental Research (AADR) fellowship award for his contribution to dental research.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Son enjoys time with his wife, Soojin. They love traveling together, trying out new cuisines and attending local events. He also enjoys playing cello and other musical instruments during his free time. Dr. Son is an active member of various dental communities and is passionate about giving back to the community. Recently, he traveled to Mexico for a mission trip to provide dental treatment, including implant therapy, to the underserved population there.
It has been an honor caring for you and your families as well as getting to know you over the years, and our office looks forward to continuing to provide you with the highest level of service in a warm and welcoming environment. Thanks for supporting myself, Dr. Son, and our team during this transition. You will continue to see the same smiling faces as our team plans to continue in their current roles and we look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
Sincerely,
William K. Baxley, DDS, MAGD
